Disambiguate DB2 Members Across Sysplexes in Health Insights Filters

Current Challenge:
IntelliMagic DB2 Health Insights, Sections (Health Exceptions / Db2 ) report (e.g., reports like BP Health, GBP Health, etc.) currently do not identify the Sysplex/System from which a Db2 Data Sharing Group or standalone Db2 member originates.
This creates confusion because we have multiple Db2 member names and Data Sharing Group names that are identical across different Sysplexes.

Intellimagic DB2 Health Insights ( DB2 graphicss like BP Health / GBP Health / Etc)  are not identifying from which Sysplex the Datasharing or the Db2 standalone member is from.
Turns out that we have several db2 member names and also datasharing names identical on several different Sysplexes.

Proposed Enhancement:
Enable the “Add Level” option in the Edit Filter functionality to allow users to include Sysplex-level or System ID-level filtering—similar to what is already available in report views.

For example, in the report:
Db2 Local Buffer Report → Exception Metrics → All Buffer Manager Data by Db2 Data Sharing Group,
we can already see the Sysplex or System ID context. This capability should be extended to the Edit Filter interface to improve clarity and usability across environments with overlapping naming conventions.

Benefits:

  • Eliminates ambiguity in environments with duplicate Db2 member/group names.
  • Enhances filtering precision for performance and health analysis.
  • Aligns filter capabilities with existing report-level granularity.

A great initiative, an excellent proposal! It will be of great benefit to the DB2 team and all teams that use DB2.

I do agree that this idea will bring improvements as well as more flexibility.

    Excellent idea!
It is really complicated to find out which plex and LPAR a Db2 belongs to, specially if there are multiple Db2s with the same subsystem ID across the supported scope.
