I want to order single products of a licensed suite

We use the IBM products System Automation and Netview, which we now want to replace with subsequent releases.

In our current contract with IBM, however, these products are no longer licensed and can therefore not be ordered using Shopz, even though they are offered in Shopz with the appropriate release level.

The FMIDs contained in System Automation and Netview are licensed for us in the suite products 5698-014 IBM Z-Mgmt Ste System Auto and 5698-014 IBM Z-Mgmt Ste NetView. However, the suite contains other FMIDs that we do not need. That's why we don't want to install them.

The IBM license department refuses to check in the licenses for 5698-SA4 IBM Z System Auto V4 and 5697-NV6 IBM Z NetView V6, although all FMIDs are also included and licensed in the suite.

As a short-term solution to the problem, we are now forced to order a CBPDO with the suite products. Then we will modify the SMP/E installation jobs and only install our desired FMIDs, which are also included in the above stand-alone products.

I am expecting a solution from IBM that allows individual products to be ordered from a large licensed suite via Shopz and suitable installation jobs are delivered without the customer having to make major modifications here. Furthermore, it would be desirable to install such orders not only from a supplied file with JCL skeletons (CBPDO), but to use z/OSMF for this (ServerPacs).

    Thank you for reaching us. Unfortunately in Shopz application we cannot change any data regarding products/licenses as we do not own this data, we just received the information and we could not modify anything related to.
    You may need to redirect the request to your sales representative and they can help to contact someone from product team to request product data updates.If you need to modify something in your inventory your sales representative can help to contact Q2C to modify license data. Thank you,
