We would like to see the CEC Serial Number added to the Kafka metadata/header to better identify where the data record is coming from.

We will be receiving data stream records from multiple CECs to a Kafka cluster.  Adding the serial number would be a unique identifier for determining the identity of the CEC/customer.  For example, the system name is in the metadata/header portion, but some of our customers are on different LPARs but they may have the same system name.  Adding the serial number in combination with the system name would better identify from where the data is originating.  This is the current metadata/header we are receiving:

In this case, 0181 is the system name.  Adding the serial number to the metadata portion in combination with the system name would add to the uniqueness of the record since the metadata/header information is common on all records received.
