Enable internal initiation and control of packet‑level trace collection within the e3270UI and Web UI—eliminating dependencies on NetView or external utilities—while supporting user‑specified output paths and export formats compatible with Wireshark and other protocol‑analysis tooling.

Add the ability to turn on Packet Tracing, which will collect the data and allow the user to save it in a format I can easily feed into Wireshark or other analytics platforms. To meet expectations, OMEGAMON AI for Networks must provide the capability to initiate and manage trace data directly from within its own user interfaces, without requiring NetView or any external tooling.

Enabling packet‑trace initiation directly from the network monitoring interface delivers immediate diagnostic capability at the moment an anomaly is detected, reducing operational delays and eliminating reliance on external tools. This streamlined workflow improves trace accuracy, accelerates time to root cause, and empowers operators at all levels to capture actionable data without escalating to specialized teams—ultimately driving faster problem resolution, higher service availability, and more efficient network operations.
