Datetime arithmetic in data studio generated SQL

Our team uses the MDS Data Studio in Eclipse for generating reports on SMF 30 records. Reports are requested by Test Architects and therefore require us to neatly export them with the "Export..." feature. However, the SQL that gets generated in MDS Data Studio does not allow for string to datetime conversions or datetime arithmetic. This feature needs to be created/enabled as it is a very vital feature in the adoption of this product, and are extremely important when looking at SMF 30 records in specific time windows. Right now you cannot query data in a specific time window, you have to query all of it and then view it in a spreadsheet to filter out the dates that you don't want. By using date arithmetic and conversion a user would be able to make a query for only the datetimes they want and could prevent any manual labor on their part.
