Thank you for this idea and particiapting in follow up discussions. Currently this idea is outside the scope of IBM Open Enterprise Foundation for z/OS. After some consideration, we find this ticket would best be handled by IBM Event Automation. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hello Niek. We will look into adding kafka support possibly in the future. Currently we are going through planning phase where we will assess this as a possibility.
We have been interested in including you in some discussions. However, it seems we do not have your correct email address. We have been using the email address linked to this IDEA to send you an invitation.
Will anybody respond to my comment or should I create a new Idea?

The IBM Open Enterprise SDK for Apache Kafka for z/OS is not what I meant.
What I meant is support for the Kafka event streaming platform itself, which is the requirement for the tools I mentioned.
IBM has released a new product, IBM Open Enterprise SDK for Apache Kafka for z/OS.
