Purging CICS task by predefined elapsed time regardless of CICS commands executed nor any CICS resources involved

Currently, OMEGAMON/CICS offer Resource limit for purging tasks running out of different kind of resource limit. Resource Limiting considerations.

However, this have limitation and there are case the force-purge not work. In this regard, would like to request IBM to enhance on OMEGAMON/CICS to purge CICS task by predefined elapsed time regardless of CICS commands executed nor any CICS resources involved according to following 2 points of justification:



1. Cross-region CICS process is a common in practical commercial area through the development of host application.


2. Other vendor's product (e.g. ASG TMON/CICS) offer similar function without any criteria or exception.

    Hello, we have assessed this RFE and have decided to reject this request. I'm sorry if this causes disappointment. The decision is based on multiple factors but primarily we believe this adds a risk and could lead to integrity problems if the task is in a dangerous state.
