Omegamon USS metrics without root privileges

The Omegamon TEMS STC requires USS root privileges to gather z/OS UNIX metrics.
Giving root privileges to any service is an unnecessary security risk.
To solve this security issue, Omegamon could use UNIXPRIV or another form of security delegation to give Omegamon access to the required privileges while limiting the security implications.

Agreed. Programs should not be ran as uid=0 if it is not required.

Agreed...... running as uid=0/superuser to 'ease' security access is very 1980-like ;)
I assume, either a set of existing BPX/UNIXPRIV resources can yield te same result.. yet the documentation should specify what the STC is actually trying to do and what resources will allow it...
