Product Provided Sit OS390_Local_PageDS_PctFull Fires True Even Though Adv Local Page DS Utililization is Below Threshold

Our z/OS lpars have multiple Local Page Datasets defined, and utilization is typically spread evenly across all datasets (i.e. all datasets are 35% utilized).

We currently use product provided Sit OS390_Local_PageDS_PctFull_Crit to monitor the utilization of our Local Page Datasets.

We have the PERCENT FULL attribute set for 60% so under normal circumstances, the Sit fires true when the combined Local Page DS utilization reaches 60%.

The problem occurs AFTER our Local Page DS utilization reaches 60%.

Our Sit has a Take Action, so once utilization reaches 60%, an additional Local Page DS is dynamically added.

The problem is, even though the combined utilization of all Local Page Datasets drops below the threshold once the additional Local Page DS is added, the Sit remains true as long as 1 of the defined Local Page Datasets is at or above the threshold.

We suggest you provide an attribute that monitors the total Local Page DS utilization in addition to monitoring each individual dataset.
