since we have had no response to our questions, we are going to assume that providing a new built-in function that would return this timestamp value would satisfy this requirement. If something else is wanted, a new requirement should be opened

Following up on the update from October 19, 2015:

We have implemented a TIMESTAMP built-in function in October 2015. Does this provide what you are looking for?

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - PL/I Compilers

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
    Product - PL/I Compilers

sorry - I missed the earlier comments about this - so, the enhancement you want is the ability to get the nanoseconds as part of a date-time string, correct?

Could you provide some more details on what additional date-time information you would like from PL/I that is currently provided by DB2? Thanks

providing nanoseconds in the time stamp is a possible candidate for a future release

This is not a DATETIME but a request for TIMESTAMP.
    The PL/I DATETIME returns 'YYYYMMDDHHMISS999' but a DB2 TIMESTAMP is 'YYYYMMDDHHMISS999999'.

what date-time information is wanted that is not provided by the DATETIME() built-in function?
