Support PL/I "alias" variables as DB2 host variables

(This is SQL-Preprocessor related, hope "PL/I Compiler" is the right product.)

I want to use "alias" defined variables as DB2 host variables .
Currently this leads to "IBM3888I The reference start_date has no corresponding DB2 type".

    regarding my first comment "support named consts":
    i've found another RFE that covers that and its stated that this is supported in EPLI 4.5.
    I currently have no access to 4.5 to verify, but probably this is already fixed.

    another addition (pls. let me know if you want me to open a separate RFE for that):
    support named consts in sql

    sample:
    dcl 1 colors,
    2 red bin fixed(31) value(1),
    2 green bin fixed(31) value(2), ...
    exec sql select car from table_cars where car_color = :colors.red;

    sql preprocessor should be able to replace the host-var by a const.

    just for the records (unsure if i've already noted it somewhere in the conversation): it would be great if the following is also supported:

    define struct 1 hostvars,
    2 foo char(2),
    2 bar char(3);
    exec sql select foo into :hostvar.foo;

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - PL/I Compilers

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
