Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Support pointer as third argument in Builtin JSONPUTVALUE()

PL/I compiler doesn't support pointer as third parameter in JSON built-in JSONPUTVALUE().

If possible - please add support for using pointer as first and third argument to JSON built-ins JSONPUTVALUE(), JSONPUTMEMBER, JSONGETVALUE and JSONGETMEMBER.

We're still in discussions about what is actually desired and how to do it. But we are going to reject this for now. If it seems like some changes are needed from PL/I another idea can be opened then.

We have asked the submitter for more information about this idea so that we can understand their scenario better. It's possible that what is desired is already possible.
