Deducing the extent of one-dimensional arrays from the number of INIT values

The compiler allows character named constants without specifying the length. It would be nice to have the same applied to the extents of an one-dimensional array with INITs, just by specifying (*).

If this is introduced (and I personally do not like it at all!), can it be paired with a RULES() option to disallow it by default, for large(r) arrays it might lead to hard to find bugs, especially if one would use two or more of them, and the dimensions would go out of sync! In fact this requirement goes against the current trend of detecting problems at compile time!
