This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Currently there is no way to check/verify the parameter values for the AFP Download Plus server/FSA. In order to check/verify that the AFPDP parameters are set appropriately and as expected, it would be helpful to have a DISPLAY command that would show all of the parameters and what their current values are set to.
To set these AFPDP parameters, there is a PARMLIB concatenation order, as well the actual IBM-supplied default values. Looking through the PARMLIB members, as well as needing to check the (possibly outdated) manual for the IBM defaults, it is not currently possible to know for sure what the actual execution time parameter values are. Adding a new DISPLAY command would allow the installation to check/verify that the AFPDP configuration parameters are set as expected. This is especially important when trying to debug an issue, but it is also useful simply as a “health check”.

Thanks for the question. For this Idea, I'm specifically asking for the AFPPARMS, so your assumption was correct. The PRINTDEV parameters are available from JES (and SDSF??? or EJES, in our case), so there's no need to replicate that information here.
I also didn't specify, but I would be perfectly happy with just one command syntax that would just spit out *all* of the AFPPARMS parameters. It would be nice to be able to display each one, but that's probably a lot more work, and at the end of the day, I would rather just be able to display all of them instead of having to display each specific parameter. Now??? if there was a display command where I could display each individual parameter as well as an ???ALL" keyword that would display them all, that would work, too.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions! Thanks!
.
Which parameter(s) are being requesting? We assume it is AFPPARMS or do you also need both AFPPARMS and PRINTDEV parameters?
Regards.
