RELATED IDEAS

Segmented flag must be honored by Web Transactions

The converse statement currently releases all resources such as open cursors, etc... This is a serious problem as it breaks the semantics of ADABAS/Natural applications that are migrated to EGL.

This is believed to be a very easy thing to honor - basically whatever is being done unconditionally will now be parameterized by this RBD setting.

    This requirement was based on an architecture where legacy 4GL TUIs were to be migrated to EGL web transactions. Further design discussions have led us in a different direction, where a better architecture would be to migrate to Rich UI, and for EGL to be updated to allow a RUI handler to be Conversed. This would give the desired behavior.

    Conversing a RUI is an enhancement we are investigating for the next release.

    We agree with this requirement, and we expect to implement it in Javagen environments in the next release.
