Support for WAS 8 by RBD and RDi with SOA v8

We have been using RDi for SOA for three years to do HATS development as well as RPG development. We even have plans to use EGL. We upgraded to RDi for SOA 8.0 for HATS 8.0 and WebSphere 8.0 support. After several days of trials and tribulations, to our surprise, we found out that RDi for SOA 8.0 does not support WebSphere 8.0. Since
our development organization is built around RDi, we need to know
when/if WebSphere 8.0 will be supported.

We sell our product commercially so this is not just one impatient IT group, but an entire business plan that is at stake.

And just an FYI: to me, if HATS 8.0 supports WebSphere 8.0, but HATS 8.0 in RBD 8.0 does not, then RBD (and RDi for SOA) only have partial support for HATS 8.0. Im sure your marketing guys will disagree, but it is the root cause of the mess we find ourselves in.

I had opened PMR 73071,442,000 to get answers about inter-product compatibility. That PMR directed me to this RFE.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - Business Developer

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
Product family - Design & development
    Product - Business Developer

WAS 8.0 and WAS 8.5 are both supported in RBD 8.5.

I am just wondering whether it shouldn't be the other way around: RBD should already be able to support a server version which is just around the corner. It is all IBM software, right?

We will be adding support for WAS 8.0 in a future V8 fix pack.
