Need direct access to underlying data in DataGrid.

The standard way to build a grid is fine but to control a grid that is already built sometimes requires access to the components used in the implementation of the DataGrid widget.

When the DataGrid was still a tech preview we could access the "grid" div element directly from our handlers and other widgets that might contain a grid. This allowed us to interrogate and modify this visual element "on the fly" (without forcing a rebuild of the entire grid).

When the DataGrid was officially released the "grid" div element had been made private, as follows:

private grid Div{class = "EglRuiDataGrid", position = "relative", onClick ::= clickGrid};

In order to support applications we have developed for mobile devices with limited processor speeds we have to be able to get to the grid directly. Our solution has been to modify the DataGrid to remove the "private", as shown here:

grid Div{class = "EglRuiDataGrid", position = "relative", onClick ::= clickGrid};

We would like this modification to be a permanent part of the way that the DataGrid widget is structured (just as it was in the tech preview).

Another element was changed between tech preview and final product...similar to the grid element being made private, the "addClass" function was made private. There are many instances where we leverage this function from our own code. Again, our solution was to remove the "private" from the function definition:

function addClass(widget Widget in, class string in) // <-- Removed 'private'

And again, we think this is something that should not be private in the IBM supplied definition of the widget.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Programming Languages
    Product - Business Developer

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - Rational
    Product family - Design & development
    Product - Business Developer

    Thank you for this suggestion. We will consider this in our planning for future updates, but we currently have not time frame for implementation.
