Customer's EGL project will translate EGL program into Java program running on WAS server and COBOL program running on CICS. If the Java program and COBOL program have the different parmForm type (COMMPTR and CHANNEL), in some special cases, it will cause the Java and COBOL have different commarea layout and program tried to allocate a large storage (please refer PMR 67496,000,858 and PMR 67961,000,858). Finally this problem will cause CICS EUDSA SOS and SUSPEND and impact customer's business service. Customer strongly suggests EGL/CICS should avoid CICS EUDSA SOS and SUSPEND caused by different commarea layout.

    We don't expect to implement the feature, because we can not recreate the problem. We think the right checking is done within EGL to terminate if the data is not passed correctly into the Channel.
