CDATA-section support when using webservices.

Sending binary data through a webservice is not possible. The webservice will crash.

Also, our users regularly seem to manage to enter illegal characters which after being sent or received by a webservice will make the webservice crash.

Adding the XML CDATA section to certain type elements will prevent the service from crashing on illegal characters or illegal string termination.
IBM suggested to insert the CDATA section 'manually' which would solve this issue. In my opinion this is time-consuming and error-prone.
As a developer I would like this to be done automatically once I indicated CDATA sections should be used.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.

Thank you for this suggestion, we will consider it when we are planning for our next release. We agree that it would be nice to have, but it is not committed to the release that is currently under developmen.
