Local record definitions

It would be nice if it was possible to define records locally within a program and even within a function. Then the programmer wouldn't have to think about making the record names unique when defining a record which is not meant to be used outside the program (or function).

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:

    Please reconsider this RFE. Most modern languages support local defined records / classes.

    Thank you for your request. We agree that this function would be nice to have, but it is not likely to be implemented in the next two years. You are welcome to resubmit the request in 18 months if it is a continuing requirement within your organization.
