Le comparateur contient dans sa partie haute les infomations qui permettent de s'y retrouver dans le programme, et pour un programme COBOL, on y retrouve les etiquettes dans l'ordre alphabetique afin de faciliter la navigation dans le COBOL.
Ce comparateur est basé sur la technologie Eclipse, ce n'est pas un comparateur qu'on a écrit. Il n'est pas prévu à ce jour d'écrire un nouveau comparateur.
