Product ID Field.

This request is to include a field for Product ID, that can be updated by the client (end user) via the Web User Interface, with the data retained in the client’s database repository.

Vendors change product names on a regular basis (noting that the functionality may not change that much with version releases), so it would be useful to have a 6 character field that is unique to each product which will remain with that product (even when there is a name change). This will allow clients to more accurately track and source data on software that has undergone name changes throughout its evolution.
