Have the ability in Configuration Manager to build the work (WK) datasets ahead of time

Currently Configuration Manager only creates the new STC procs, VTAMLST members, DB2 bind JCL, etc. during the GENERATE step. In larger environments, often different people/groups need to perform different tasks, example the network person/group does the VTAM applids, a system person/group does the proc, etc. As it is now, only after the GENERATE step completes can the changed Omegamon members be made available to the different people/groups. This can significantly delay implementation of an Omegamon install/maintenance.


If Configuration Manager, just as PARMGEN currently does, would create the Omegamon work datasets ahead of time, then the different people/groups can get the new/changed VTAM members, proc JCL, DB2 build JCL, etc. ahead of time, for preparation of the Omegamon installation/maintenance. Thus other people/groups can implement the required changes parallel to running the Configuration Manager GENERATE step, and reduce the Omegamon implementation time.
