REQUIREMENT ABSTRACT

Allow hexadecimal data as a parameter to be attached to the ECB for the Toolkit ECB launcher.

REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION

In addition to the current ability to populate the EBW area of a launched ECB with EBCDIC data, allow for hexadecimal data that can be populated either from the ECB launcher panel, TPF file system, or individual's workstation.


CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

Achieve flexibility in using the ECB launcher.

SOLUTION CONSIDERATIONS (required)

Enhance ECB launcher panel to allow hexadecimal input such as X'AABB0022'.
Allow ECB launcher to obtain this information from a file on the tPF system or the workstation.

    IBM does not intend to implement this requirement.
    The z/TPF automated test framework should be used to create a test case that initializes the EBW area using ecbptr() references.
