z/TPF DFDL Transformation of Source Structures into Dissimilar Target Structures

1. Currently DFDL Eventing Transformations work well where the Target XML/JSON Document is very Similar in Organizational Structure to the Source Binary Structure.
2. Planned Data Replication Eventing Use Cases (UC) require conversion to organizationally dissimilar target Document Structures.
3. Currently. this requires the development of an intermediate custom data formatter application that copy maps data from source structure to the dissimilar target structure.
4. After copy mapping is complete, DFDL can use target structure's associated DFDL Schema to convert its Structure into the desired target XML/JSON Document.
5. A planned example UC is the eventing of the TPFDF PNR subfile not in its TPFDF organizational format, but in the organizational format of OTA 2.0's Open Booking Reservation Container.
6. It would be ideal if tooling and z/TPF execution software could be developed to automate this process. Similar to the mapping automation employed in Websphere Transformation eXtender (WTX)
