In 2020, z/TPF APAR PJ46026 - Recovery Log Throttling was provided. This RFE provided the ability for LODIC and Input list shutdowns to stop work if too many Recovery log resources were in use. This is an alternative method of preventing the catastrophic C117 dump.
Also, data collection/reduction reports on the maximum size of the recovery log since the last IPL. This can be used for tuning purposes.
