PJ39153 on PUT08 introduced code in CCCTIN to convert several STCK instructions to STCKF instructions if the store-clock-fast facility is installed.
Fast forward to 2017 and TPF will "not IPL correctly or run as intended on a machine earlier than z10" so this store-clock-fast facility is now default for all TPF customers.
This RFE is to ask that PJ39153 be removed and all instances of STCK instruction in CPS0 be replaced by the faster STCKF.
*also*
Since OPTABLE(ZS4) is the default assembler code table setting since PUT13 could IBM explore the use of the General-Instructions Extension Facility instructions to improve performance in highly used CPS0 code?
These include the Compare [Logical] [Immediate] and Branch [Relative] instructions such as CRB, CRJ, CIB, ASI, CLHHSI, LTGF, MHY.
