This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Abstract: Enhance the Toolkit Performance Analyzer to provide additional resource utilization data for a TPF entry executed in a test system.
Description: 1. Provide the ability to trace a TPF entry from beginning to end, logging performance data on all programs entered. There would need to be an option to trace all programs. The output should include the following information:
2. I/O activity – display all I/O accessed during the entry for the programs requested. Include all Finds/Files by program. Include logical/physical I/O.
3. Macro activity – display all macros used during the entry for the programs requested. Include macro name and associated details like id, size, etc.
4. Program activity – display Enter/Back macros for all programs requested.
5. Program instruction counts – display the total number of instructions executed by the entry and also by each program requested.
6. Core usage – display core type macros executed by program. Include block type, size, etc.
7. Get/Release File – display get/release file type macros executed by program.
Critical Success Factors: Adding these enhancements to the Performance Analyzer will provide more visibility to resource impacts from new modifications to TPF code before it is implemented to the production systems.
Alternative Solutions: Enhance Data Collection to make it easier to run in a test system, collect specific data mentioned above and display the output to the user in an easy to read format. Would be nice to have data collection dump the output to the TPF file system similar to PA to eliminate tape.
Solution Considerations: This requirement is a set of functions that could be added to the Performance Analyzer. The existing PA functions could be expanded or new functions can be added to the package.
