This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The tpfdataredux utility is a linux based utility that post processes data collection captured on TPF.
Customers should be able to run this utility on whichever linux servers they need to.
When this component is run on the same linux server used to build it, there is no issue. However, if this utility is copied to another linux server that is running on a different version of the native compiler, it may fail because it cannot link to the expected version of the shared libstdc++ library.
tpfdataredux should be portable so that customers can run it where they need to.
Sidenotes on solution options:
One option that works is to add the following link flag to tpfdataredux.mak : LDFLAGS_tpfdataredux += -static-libstdc++
But this means that the static libstdc++ packages must be installed on the server where tpfdataredux is built and this adds an additional code dependency for the TPF product which is not optimal. Therefore a better alternative would be if tpfdataredux did not need to link to the shared libstdc++ library at all, or there were some other means of overcoming platform specific dependencies beyond those already in place.
