This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

I am sorry for a late reply. We have to make sure the other group does not have any concerns. Your suggestion of a new ZASER function will surely help resolve the issue. We just wanted to have streaming dumps of different types being issued by different processors in the complex may be stopped programmatically instead of manually doing the entries. We have a processor-shared Force Dump table that we can use similar to your proposal of a new ZASER function. We just hope we could do this programmatically. We are then happy to have this RFE closed. Thank you.
Does the suggestion of having an option on ZASER to propagate the settings to all of the processors (both online and offline) satisfy your requirement?
I think this may be not a good solution. Trying to merge the different dumps that occur on 8 different processors will be very complicated and will not solve the problem if different dumps are occurring. Another suggestion would be to have option on zaser to propagate the settings to all of the processors (both online and offline) . This way if problems dumps were occuring on one processor the dumps can be turned off on all. In addition the ZASER MAXCPSE/MAXOPR settings can be used to turn off dump consoles or opr dumps if more then n occurred in a minute.
