LOGCAP macro enhancement

client has 3 dasd device types. DEVA/DEVB/DEVC . Would like to distribute exception recording and logging across 3 tapes, RTX, RTU, and RTV. Would like each tape to service 1/3 of the devices for each device type. As an example the RTX would contain 1/3 of the DEVA, 1/3 of the DEVB, and 1/3 of the DEVC devices.

    Susan Hanson's response:

You could say Delivered along with a explanation of the solution that was given to the customer.  If it is long, then it could be a published TechNote or something that then could be referenced.  From my view, I would think of it more from the 2nd customer who goes and reads this RFE and says "that is exactly what I need also!" ... how would you want him/her to see this one?

John Tarby and Brian Laferriere spoke and here is John's response:

Per our discussion this morning, I'd just leave this as is.  I've never heard of anyone else asking for this functionality so I don't think we need to promote it at all.

So I'm closing this as DELIVERED - the #publish comment above (provided by John Tarby) is sufficient.

No changes needed. Current device capacities can accommodate all logging traffic on one tape. If log traffic increases and additional tapes are required the workload can be segregated by device type or contiguous module range.
