PDU Online Multiple Release Disp Enhancement

TPFUG_Req_Number: D05001F
Contact Originator Id: charlie.crowe@eds.com
Abstract: The online and offline multiple release displays should support logging items for each pool type and not be limited to a maximum number of total items logged. Either a display by pool type is needed or a minimum of each pool type should be logged and displayed
Description: The current Online Multiple release process (ZDUPD S XX and ZDUPD E) is limited to a maximum number of 1000 occurrences total for all or any pool types. The current OFFLINE Multiple release (ZRPDU CREATE and ZRPDU E) is also limited to a maximum of 480 occurrences total for all or any pool types. These processes can limit the number of items in the display to a single pool type, thus eliminating the ability to view additional items of other pool type(s). Our objective is to provide better diagnostic tools for logging or displaying (both) online and offline multiple releases by a specific file pool type.
Solution Considerations: 1). Modifications to the logging processes to support a maximum number of online and offline multiple releases logged by pool type. This could be accomplished by updating the logging programs to log by pool type and not a total number of items. Additional modifications to the display package would be required.

2). Completion of step 1 (above) with modifications to the display package to support displaying items by a specific pool type. This would allow the user to display the maximum number of items logged by a specific pool type.

NOTE **** All options require modifications to IBM software.
