CDC enhancement to the CDC_PREDEFINED_USER_DATA collector.

CDC and the Tivoli monitor agent provide an excellent way to collect and monitor TPF system performance and status data. We would like to make use of this facility to collect and monitor Marriott metrics. The current design of the user data collector is too restricted and cannot be used by us. We would like you to consider the following design changes.
• The current CDC_PREDEFINED_USER_DATA collector is restricted to passing a data structure containing three fields. The perfect solution would be to allow the structure to be defined by the customer. Barring that the current structure should be expanded to contain more fields. Maybe something like six character fields followed by six value fields. This would allow us to populate the structure with text fields and value fields. We could then use the TEP filtering mechanism to display the fields that we choose to use.
• The current implementation provides for only one USER_DATA collector. We would like additional USER_DATA collectors to be defined. This would allow us to set up collectors based on function and not have to lump all the data together. There are other benefits to doing this. It would allow us to separate the data and collect it on different frequencies and set up different Historical collections with different summarization and pruning characteristics.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - z Systems Software
    Product - z/TPF

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Transaction Processing
    Product - z/TPF

IBM does not intend to do this in the foreseeable futures. Tivoli Monitoring does not support generic data.
