Improve TMSLC & LODIC Usage Reporting

TPFUG_Req_Number: S98009
Contact Originator Id: Jack_Opgenorth@sabre.com
Abstract: Data collection on the usage of TMSLC and LODIC macro usage must be improved to provide TPF customers more granular data on the usage of these resource control tools.
Description: Include the following data in data collection and reduction:

TMSLC

parameter settings for each TMSLC name

frequency of time slices by TMSLC name (typical min. / max. / mean) at system level

frequency of time slices by TMSLC name by ECB (typical of other ECB metrics)

LODIC

parameter settings for each LODIC name

frequency of shutdown occurrences by LODIC name
Critical Success Factors: Incorporating the additional data is critical to customers migrating to IBM standard resource control tools. Performance management of the TPF systems will be improved by expanding the data gathered and reported for the resource control macros.
Solution Considerations: The additional data should be provided through acceptable practices and with minimal overhead on the system. The data reduction software should include the new data. Standard practices of incorporating updates to the existing data collection and data reduction routines should prevent customer impact.
