Multiple search paths for XML maps

TPFUG_Req_Number: V09106S
ORIGIN DATE: 03/18/2009
REQUIREMENT ABSTRACT

This feature would provide the ability for the debugger to search
multiple directories when looking for an XML map for the memory or TPF
views.

REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION

Today, the memory view and TPF views (SW00SR and etc) can only look in
a single location for XML maps a time (for the SW00SR LREC XML map
files %TPFSHARE%\map files\memory\ztpf\sw00sr). It is advantageous to
provide the ability to search multiple search paths to find these XML
files. For example, a system level build could produce all required
XML maps and store then in a system level directory. Then a user could
have a personal build that redefines some of the system XML maps and
these XML maps are stored in a different directory. With this feature,
a search order could be provided such that the user generated XML maps
would be found first. But if the user did not have a personal copy,
the system copy would then be used. This feature could also be used to
easily locate XML maps for the memory view and other TPF views besides
just the SW00SR view.

SOLUTION CONSIDERATIONS

A possible solution may be to the ability to specify a TPF project with
a given build environment such that the build paths could also provide
the XML search paths for the user, system and etc.
