MQ add support for MQ Series Clustering

TPFUG_Req_Number: MQ06003S
Contact Originator Id: mike.mansell@aexp.com
Abstract: This MQ Series enhancement to the TPF O/S will add support for MQ clustering as a Receiver and Requestor. Conceptually, clustering, through the use of alias naming conventions and assignments, provides for the identification and routing to alternative Queue Managers that have been associated to an alias queue.
Description: MQ Series on distributed platforms and sysplexed mainframe environments have the ability to route messages to alternate Queue Managers that share support for a specific queue. This methodology also applies as a receiver where more than one Queue Manager is capable of servicing messages from a shared queue.
Critical Success Factors: It is anticipated that additional conversations/meetings will be required with the appropriate experts to fully articulate the details of this request. Contact the requestor to facilitate this process.
Alternative Solutions: Application specific code that would be client specific and not a standard implementation of MQ Series capabilities.
Solution Considerations: The integration and support of MQ Clustering would provide significant benefit in MQ message processing where clustering is utilized as an Enterprise solution.
