ZMATC enhancements to modify config files

Introduce a new MODIFY parameter to the ZMATC command such as:

ZMATC MODIFY FILE-filename FIELD-fieldname VALUE-"value string"

ZMATC MODIFY FILE-filename FIELD-fieldname REMOVE

This command would have the following behaviors:

  • It would modify the specified field in the file specified on the file system.

  • If the file does not exist or does not have write permissions, an error will be returned. As such, you would need to start with a writeable file in production file system and modify it.

  • The specified field name will be validated.

  • The value string will be minimally validated. For example, it will ensure string lengths or decimal limits are honored but things like program validation will be performed at ZMATC START time.

  • Modifying certain fields may have further limitations imposed. For example, if the description is modified, maybe you can only specify 64 characters.

  • REMOVE option would remove optional fields from the config file specified.

In this way, the ZMATC command would allow you to modify any field in a configuration file.
