Hi,
Thank you for raising this idea. Currently, task initiation user exit does not work for DB2 for z/OS. After a thorough evaludation, we have decided not to pursue this request. As a result, we are closing this request at this time.
We appreciate your input and continued support.
Thank you.
Thanks I've seen what has been done for TXS-I-129 where you implemented Task Initiation user exit to support transaction user propagation to DB2. The task initiation user exit will be invoked for every user transaction just before starting the transaction.
Task initiation user exit can be used to configure DB2 trusted connection and propagate transaction user identity to DB2.
Refer /opt/ibm/cics/samples/userexit/ cicstrusted.README to configure user exit for DB2 identity propagation.
In our case we are working with a database server that it is a DB2 for z/OS
Does above Task Initiation user exit work to DB2 for z/OS ?
thanks Anna
The support of the transmission of userid from TXSeries to DB2 is like of the feature on CICS TS AUTHTYPE(USERID) both in DB2CONN and DB2ENTRY. I've seen this kind of request has been delivered for TXS-I-129 . Please could you show me in with way ? thanks Anna
