Enable Support for Multiple RACF Databases and RRSFs in watsonx Assistant for Z

Many IBM Z environments are designed with multiple RACF databases and RRSF configurations, often segmented by LPAR, sysplex, or environment type (e.g., production, development, test). Today, watsonx Assistant for Z supports connectivity to only a single RACF database per assistant instance, requiring additional instances to operate across multiple RACF domains within the same enterprise environment.

This idea proposes enabling native support for multiple RACF DBs and RRSFs within a single watsonx Assistant for Z instance. Based on the execution context selected by the user (LPAR, sysplex, or environment), the assistant would dynamically route authentication, authorization, and security-related actions to the appropriate RACF database or RRSF configuration.

The execution context could be derived from an external source such as z/OSMF, ensuring accurate system-level alignment while maintaining a seamless single chat session and user experience.
