This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Travelers is in the process of upgrading our IBM Explorer for z/OS package to roll out to our IT community. But before we do so, we would like to know if you have an idea when you anticipate this 1-click deployment feature of the z/OS Connect API Editor toolkit will be ready for us to download and try it out.
This requirement is addressed in the following continuous delivery updates to z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition V3.0:
- IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition V3.0.4 / APAR PI90096, or later:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PI90096
- IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition API Toolkit V3.0.3, introduced as part of the z/OS Explorer Aqua V3.1.1.3 update:
https://developer.ibm.com/mainframe/2017/12/21/whats-new-zos-explorer-aqua-v3-1-1-3-20-dec-2017/
In addition to the existing ability to deploy API projects to a connected z/OS Connect EE server, the API Toolkit now also provides the equivalent capability for Service projects. For further details, refer to topic "Creating services in the API toolkit" in the z/OS Connect EE V3.0 Knowledge Center:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS4SVW_3.0.0/com.ibm.zosconnect.doc/designing/service_sar_creation.html
Unfortunately, the requirement regarding segregation of deployed resources on the file system has arrived too late to be considered during the design and implementation of this item. As such, a further RFE would be required to consider this use case.
We envision the Eclipse API toolkit having a pop-up providing an option to specify a location when doing a deploy. It is important that our application developers for each of our lines of business to choose their separate LOB folders when deploying their API and SAR assets to z/OS Connect.
