Thank you for providing us with the extra detail.

Unfortunately, whilst this requirement is valid, based on our current plans and priorities for IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition, it is not likely that this could be implemented in the next 12 months. Correspondingly this requirement is being declined at this point. The requirement will be kept in the RFE system and might be reassessed in the future. You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be reconsidered then.

    Thank you that really helps.

We'll assess this as: "The need to have an alternative to basic auth and client certificate for authenticating z/OS Connect EE developers."

Thanks for the response, so just to be clear what capability is being asked for here , which of the following best summarises your need:

    a) I need to be able to use API keys to identify z/OS Connect EE users when they perform developer actions (eg deploy, start, stop and view APIs/Services) from the API toolkit
    b) I need to allow z/OS Connect EE users to test APIs that have been secured with API keys.
    c) I need a way for z/OS Connect EE developers to do their jobs without having to use Basic Authentication at any time.

Also if you could be clear if the goal is to eliminate the need to use Basic Auth or if you have specific reasons why API key is the only alternative that is viable for you.

    Thank you for this RFE.

Just to clarify the intention behind your request: Are you looking for a way to pass an api-key and/or JWT when testing and API using Swagger UI embedded in our toolkit?
