the impact of z/OS connect in our company is very important and can cause a shutdown of our customers services and this can have a negative impact on our zsystems for our business line

Our z/OS sub systems have already some metrics that are self monitored inside the systems without an external monitoring solution.

On z/OS connect we don’t have this kind of metrics that are implemented with the solution


We want to monitor two important paramètres inside z/OS connect :

maxopenconnections and maxthreads

Is it possible to have this parametes control inside z/OS connect with an alerting for each each 70% 80% and 90% max numbers reached.

    Whilst this requirement is valid, based on our current plans and priorities for IBM
    z/OS Connect, it is not likely that this could be implemented in the
    next 12 months. Correspondingly this requirement is being declined at this point. The
    requirement will be kept in the IDEAs system and might be reassessed in the future.
    You also have an opportunity to resubmit in twelve months time if you wish it to be
    reconsidered then.
