Prevent duplicate authentication in z/OS Connect OpenAPI 2.0

When you fail to authenticate with a z/OS Connect OpenAPI 2.0 server you'll see two CWWKS2907E messages for a single authentication attempt in the messages.log showing you, that the authentication fails twice. When you use RACF for authentication and you have racRouteLog="ASIS" configured in your the safAuthorization element of your server.xml, you will also see two RACF messages in the JESMSGLG of the z/OS Connect server / in your SYSLOG. According to the feedback from development in an open case we have, the first authentication happens in Liberty's "JAASaServiceImple via webcontainer code" and the second in a "zosconnect filter". We would like only one authentication attempt to be performed. The second one causes people to get quicker revoked and more error messages to be written into JESMSGLG/SYSLOG and messages.log making it harder to find other issues.

This requirement has been evaluated. Looking at current plans, it is not likely that this would be implemented in future z/OS Connect releases, so correspondingly this requirement is being rejected.
