After you deploy an application image that contains multiple versions to a Linux target environment, you can now update the deployment with a new version of the application image. This selectively updates what is needed.
This feature is available as part of the IBM Z Development and Test Environment 12.0.3.0 release or later.??

Thank you for submitting this RFE. This is consistent with our plans for the product and will be prioritized for future consideration.
In most deployment cases, the IPL is not suitable.
Two modes of deployment would be possible
Cold - disk copy + IPL (amendment the DEVPMAP file)
Warm: offline, disk copy, online (so no changes the DEVMAP file )
