This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Z Software products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Any additional validation options for LCP copies is welcome to us
Would enable faster validation. i.e If you know where the corruption is but don't know when it happened. Restoring single volumes would allow faster identification of how far back you may need to go, without having to do full restorations each time.
I voted for this, but I feel it has a very limited use case.
Same as LBG.
This requirement is not applicable to LBG within the next two years as we don't have LCP and no firm plans to implement at this stage.
Fine suggestion.
This method would also bring the benefit that we could validate on subset of volumes(from 1 to more) before doing the full recovery.
Meaning a test option. I like the idea.
I guess rename of volser is not an option when doing LCP recover, but that would as well bring us an option to get a 'shadow volume' available on original system without bringing up the entire Recovery sysplex 'just for validations'?
