GDPS with XDR VM systems to provide Linux proxys the ability to write into the GDPS netlog

With GDPS 4.2 MM that has a VM system (as well as z/OS systems) using the Q line command from the standard actions panel against a VM system gives the option of using the GS or CL line commands against either the master or backup Linux proxies.

However, in doing this the (especially the CL command) results in the majority of the information being written to the Linux guest log.

Due to the separation of duties in the bank we (MVS people) do not have access to VM or the Linus proxies, similarly the VM people have no access to MVS.

When issuing commands from GDPS into the Linux proxies it would be more beneficial of the output was then retrieved and placed into the netlog.

This would allow MVS people who administer GDPS and ultimately are the ones who would open pmr's for GDPS issues to send the netlogs in and those netlogs would already contain all the Linux related data (in the event the issue required that data).
