Problem Description: Following a total power failure the customer was confused as to the status of the DASD due to the various messages that had been issued. We feel that GDPS could have provided better information in the takeover message on the DASD status indicating that there were errors encountered during the freeze actions. We understand that the errors would have been sent to the SDF screen but this screen can quickly fill. We would like to request that either another highly visible message (WTOR) is issued or information in the takeover prompt enhanced to indicate there has been a problem. This would prompt the support staff to further investigate the problem

    After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming release because it won?t be pursued within our planning cycle.
