Improved device messaging during CONFIG failure

During configuration processing of a region switch, we loaded a never used config before as we hadn't run in reverse mirror direction before. When we loaded the configuration, we received the following error message:

05:04:20 | GEOTRC AUTGEO3 MPMKK PH35290-VPCMRCNF: : Unable to find a UCB for C-dev CCA 20 (B-dev 20) (I11P/2C - I11W/2C)

It took a number of people to be paged out to finally decipher the text provided that it matched CCA 20 and LSS 2C in the subsystems. There should be someway for that message to be displayed in a more user-friendly manner both from the device's standpoint and the UCB on the z/OS host.

There should be a label saying which of those numbers is an LSS. CCA is clearly labeled, and a translation should be able to be made to the z/OS UCB.

Yes, sure nice to have....but it applies to a lot of other equally esoteric messages too. Maybe get the last people to get paged to train the first ones?

Having meaningful error messages should be the norm and not the exception. Medium priority for LBG.

Yes, cryptic messages are a pain. To speed up analysis in an emergency it's always nice not to have to reference too many manuals and also not to have to, "read between the lines".
