Dual Control for GDPS-LCP

To further enhance protection against an individual that has gained access to our systems (or insider) with malicious intent, it is essential to secure the ability to perform destructive actions against our safeguarded copies such as making policy changes, expiring captures, disabling LCP etc. Currently our internal controls and procedures (regulator driven) mandate that a minimum of 2 individuals must be required to perform such actions, one scheduling the action, and the second approving the action. Dual control provides the necessary protection to eliminate the risk of a single bad actor performing destructive actions against the safeguarded copies for our most critical data. Providing this capability for GDPS-LCP will further augment our existing controls providing an additional layer of security and protection of our data.

    We are evaluting a cybervault solution. SGC could be one. Dual Control is a essential feature for SGC.

    By testing the LCP solution we looked into security as well. All capture could easily be deleted by ONE person. Dual control is a must have for protecting this solution.

    For our shop, this will be a requirement as we begin to implement "cybervault". This one cannot come soon enough.
