It is very dangerous to propose a Region Switch in MGM3SITE, since in that situation we will not have a consistent copy in Region A (copy between Region b and A in Global Copy format). In this situation if we have a problem in Region B, the data in Region A is not consistent.
We think that a GDPS MGM3SITE solution should have the possibility of activating a Global Mirror copy between Region B and A in a Region Switch situation.

We agree. A consistent copy is important in all situations.
FIS/Worldpay agrees.
Does not apply to us as we have all MGM4SITE environments, but I would have thought it essential for any planned region switch process.
GMFC will be an "easy" solution for sites with some distance between Region A and B.
Switching to a synchronous copy mode for sites that Regions A and B are actually in the same physical environment will be better. This is our case.
Could be that, reverse re-sync from Region B to Region A initially has to be global copy & once a near consistency is reached then activate global mirror copy.
Obviously we will have to provide the GMFC in Region A (for example in A.RS1)
